Discover the jewel of Lillafüred
One of Hungary’s nicest climatic resorts, Lillafüred, is situated 10km from Miskolc, the country’s third largest town.
- This fabulous hotel: Hotel Palota was built in neo-Renaissance style, based on the designs of Kálmán Lux, in the eastern part of the Bükk Mountain, in a picturesque valley surrounded by three hills. The murmur of the waterfall of Szinva stream running in the vicinity of the Palace Hotel adds extra magic to the view of the Szinva stream valley and Hámori Lake.
- Fabulous exterior: This fabulous hotel, reminiscent of the hunting castles used during the reign of King Matthias, opened its gates on 5 June 1930. The idea of using the rocks and soil extracted in the course of foundation to build a hanging garden occurred during the construction of the Palace Hotel.
- Original pomp: The recently reconstructed hanging garden, interconnected with terraces and stairs invites the lovers of nature, romance and arts for long walks in its original grandeur and has become an inseparable spectacle of not only Hotel Palota, but also of Lillafüred.
- Comfort and patina: The historic hotel offers modern comforts and quality to its guests seeking relaxation, recreation and rest in its spacious rooms and public areas filled with furniture that matches the building and recalls the historic milieu.
We feel honoured that based on its architectural design and the quality of its services, our hotel was declared a valuable national asset pursuant to the Act on Hungaricums.
