- Our hotel
Our kitchen offers gastronomic experience to our guests with domestic, regional and international dishes and seasonal flavours. When the weather is good, in addition to our two restaurants and lobby bar, we also open the huge terraces, from where you can admire the Hámori Lake and the surrounding mountains in the sunset.
With its special interior design solutions, its wooden ceiling and the coats of arms of old Hungarian families decorating its walls, our Hunyadi Restaurant with an interior height of 2 floor levels, ensures a special milieu for the wide variety of dinner, served within the framework of a buffet-style catering to our guests.
Á la carte meals are available in our medieval Matthias Restaurant, the beautiful, colourfully glazed windows of which depict the typical buildings of some of the most famous towns of the old Great Hungary.
Have a drink in our prestigious Lobby Bar on the ground floor which is open daily from 7.00 a.m. to 11.00 p.m. and offers coffee specialities, cocktails, special Belgian sour cherry beer, fine wines, homemade lemonade, fruit juices and pastries. While you are having your drink, let history surround you; it is worth to admire the wall paintings from the 1930’s, the fireplace prepared by Joseph Csapó Heim, furthermore, the colourful lead glass windows at the stairs depicting the return of King Matthias and Queen Beatrix from hunting.
In our wine cellar, located in a two-storey depth, the temperature is steadily around 9-10 degrees. As it is directly connected also to Anna’s Cave through a cave hut, we can admire beautiful limestone formations in a section of the cellar’s ceiling, while tasting special Hungarian and international wines. In our wine cellar reminiscent of a cavelike environment, we are happy to organize candle-lit wine tasting for 10 to 60 people.
For illustrious family events (birthdays and name days, engagements, christening, graduation), private corporate receptions and meetings, we can recommend our elegant Louis the Great Room, which creates a special festive atmosphere for the participants with its walls covered with English wallpaper and its masterpiece called Cluny fireplace, accompanied with a sumptuous lunch or dinner.
