Waste management

• In addition to communal waste, hazardous waste, batteries, compact fluorescent lamps, cardboard and green waste is collected separately and disposed of by a specialist company.
• In the bathrooms, we use refillable, larger-container shower gel, shampoo and body lotion instead of toiletries in single-dose containers.
• In the minibar, instead of pet bottled soft drinks and mineral waters, we place returnable bottled products, asking our guests to collect the bottle separately.
• Last year's big hit was our Palota logoed, purchasable thermo cups, which guests can take with them on their outings, reducing the chance of leaving an unwanted pet bottle in the woods.
• We use a waste compactor to reduce the volume of rubbish.
• We prefer to use QR code leaflets rather than printed guest information leaflets, and current information about our hotel is displayed on projectors in the common areas, digital totem poles and LED walls, as well as on the opening channel of in-room televisions.
• In order to avoid the generation of further waste from rolls and pet bottles, we offer modern and great tasting non-carbonated and carbonated water from purified tap water in individual washable bottles in our restaurants and lobby bar, reducing our ecological footprint.

USEFUL TIP:

• Please make use of our selective waste bins, which are located in the parking area and at the west staircase of the upstairs corridors.
• For buffet main meals, please take only what you are sure to eat. Be our partner in reducing food waste!
• During excursions and guided tours to the forests of the Beech, please take care of the protection of the forests, and please do not leave the accumulated rubbish in the forest!
• Look out for our double-walled, stainless, heat-resistant Palota cup in the spirit of sustainability! Take it with you when you go hiking in the forest, as you can reuse it countless times, so you don't pollute the environment with any waste! Let's do something for our environment together, let's take every opportunity to get rid of plastic PET bottles
