Working with local organisations to preserve values and strive for social sustainability

• We take great care to improve and maintain our National Register property through regular heritage monitoring. In the absence of external funding, we try to continuously improve and develop our environment using our own resources. We take great care to preserve the historic atmosphere of the hotel, modernising it without losing its basic character and appearance.
• We are proud not only of the hotel's almost 100 years of history, but also of the attractions in the area, local service providers and local partners, and we want to show our guests as much as possible of the local attractions through locally organised programmes and discounted tickets to local attractions.
• As there are also many film connections to Lillafüred and the Palace Hotel, several exciting elements commemorate these events of cultural and historical importance: A Kabos telephone is available in front of the reception, large panels on the fence bordering the park commemorate scenes from the film, and the opening piece of every summer garden cinema screening is the 1934 film The Dream Car (aka Meseautó).
• Together with local entrepreneurs, we have become members of the Bükk Circle Association, where we build on each other's knowledge, local expertise and network of contacts to promote the town and the destination to visitors. We are also members of the Tourism Round Table set up by the Miskolc City Council and the Miskolc and its Region Tourism Association. The hotel is the founding venue of the István Nádor Wine Knights Order, which holds its annual meeting and banquet here every year.
• This year, we have made available a QR-coded interface on our new menu called Storytelling Lillafüred, where we have collected excerpts and shorter writings from the stories of the Palace Hotel, adding to the complex experience and enhancing the reputation of Lillafüred.
• We are proud of our mutual collaboration with Miskolc's leading festivals and popular events: the Cinefest festival, the Santa Claus Train, the Jelly Festival, the Miskolc Hospitality, the Sinava Heritage Days, the Ode Maker of the Year event.
• Our tour guides are locally renowned professionals, sportsmen, without whose knowledge and love of the place the tour programme would not be a guaranteed success in the eyes of our guests.
